Exhibition Booth

Booth

2.png
The Exhibition Booth is an open area placed in an exhibition, and is designed to help better demonstrating exhibits.
4.jpg
The exhibits are furniture. While the furniture is mostly in natural wood color, the design of the Exhibition Booth is in the color of simply dark blue and white, to highlight the color of the furniture. The curve of the booth represents the “Shang” and “Shui,” which is the mountain and the water in Chinese Landscape Painting. The different scales of gray and dark blue demonstrate the distance of the landscape, which refers to the Chinese Landscape Painting.

The space features the use of organic shapes and curves. The design is inspired by the works of Swiss-French architect, Le Corbusier, especially based on his iconic Ronchamp Chapel. The chapel is supported by columns in different heights, and therefore, the roof is in a curve and is lifted at one corner. The windows of the chapel are also in different shapes and are arranged irregularly. The Mediation Space learns from these characteristics. And building upon the original design, the Meditation Space takes advantage of the organic shapes and provide a half private space for the visitors.

Therefore, the interior design of a Shanghai cuisine restaurant should demonstrate the elegance and delicacy of this famous cuisine. The restaurant is located in an independent building, with glass and black steel wall, and modern white wall, to celebrate the tradition and modern sides of Shanghai cuisine. The furniture is selected to be made of black metal, covered in beige-colored leather, to highlight the elite side of Shanghai cuisine.
